WHO WE ARE
We are an online strengths-based support organization for those with addiction or in recovery from alcohol, drugs, co-dependency, or other addictive behaviour.
The Hope In ACTion Group was founded by Actor and Producer Hykie Berg to bring hope, support and restoration to people and families struggling with or affected by substance abuse, alcoholism and other social calamities.
The vision was born more than 18 years ago as a result of him overcoming his own personal battle with substance abuse. Several treatment facilities later God gave him Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed from a lack of knowledge” and ever since then he has dedicated himself to recover and to educate, assist and bring hope to those suffering from this cruel social misfortune. He is a qualified Addictions Counsellor but believes that ultimate freedom from bondage comes through the eternal blood of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to seek the truth wholeheartedly, serve the community fervently and to love ourselves and others selflessly and unconditionally. We believe it is our calling as well as our duty to provide and educate our country with the most reliable, effective and efficient help and support concerning addiction, dual diagnosis and destructive behaviour. There is hope and we will find it for you.
